The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine "Kate" Middleton is scheduled to take place at Westminster Abbey on Friday, 29 April 2011 at 11:00 am BST (UTC+1). Prince William, who is second in the line of succession to Queen Elizabeth II, first met Middleton in 2001, while both were students at the University of St Andrews. Their engagement, which began on 20 October 2010, was announced on 16 November 2010.

After the wedding, the couple intend to continue residing on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, where Prince William is based as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot.

My grandmother used to fan me as I laid on

the pew with my head in her lap.

I'm told this is Miss Lovie.

For some reason, this just touches my soul.

Some things I remember:
My grandmother's tea cakes.
Hiding behind her long skirts when meeting a stranger.
Her sweeping the yard, and tending the flowers.
Her sewing a pocket in the bosom of her slips to keep her money.
Her cooking with hog lard, and living until l04 1/2.
My uncle buying my first coca cola for a nickle.
My aunt's general store where, when I would
visit, she'd give me a "store bought" dress.
Cane syrup my uncles made.
My aunt's huge biscuits loaded
with fresh butter and the cane syrup.
Hiding under the porch, listening to grown ups talk.
Playing with my cousins in the watermelon patch.
Knowing that my grandchildren loved the farm as I did.
So many things.

THREE Victoria's Secret models star in this week's Best Dressed list: May Andersen, Alessandra Ambrosio and Selita Ebanks. While May was working a classy tone-on-tone look for lunch in New York, Selita was doing the opposite wearing the colour blocking trend in Las Vegas; and Alessandra Ambrosio was working a different look altogether - a Rebecca Taylor sun dress at Coachella.

Also at Coachella was Kate Bosworth, who wore Topshop and Current/Elliot, and Camilla Belle, who was in Ralph Lauren - see all the Coachella looks here.

Elsewhere, Dame Helen Mirren and Russell Brand both chose Dolce & Gabbana for the London premiere of their film, Arthur; while Robert Pattinson was in Gucci and Reese Witherspoon wore a Jason Wu dress for the red carpet outing of Water for Elephants in New York.

One of my favorite places....

There is a pioneer village in a little town a tad

south of where my mother was raised.  The

photo's are of the refurbished office building

(which was moved to village)

of the doctor who brought my mom into the world

in 1918.  I remember her taking me to him when

I was a child and we'd be visiting there.  Back in my

mom's day, he delivered babies in the familie's homes.

Doc lived in his office until he married and started

a family.  He then built a home across the road, and

had his office there.  This building then became the

general store/post office which my mom's oldest

sister ran and lived.  I will share more photo's

of the village later.

We're in kind of contemplative mood around here;

just my daughter and I.  It's on both of our minds as

each day draws nearer to what would have been

Ben's birthday on the 30th.  He would be 20. I

know he wouldn't want us to be mournful, and actually
as most every one can attest I've tried to
celebrate his beautiful life instead.  There

are the dates though, as we all know,
that hit us smack in the face.
