I'm now called Coach...

Tuesday morning I said to Patti:

"put some clothes on, we're going for a walk"

And, since then, we've increased our "time" a

few minutes every day. This morning wasn't easy,

it was hot and humid and I told her "I don't think

I can walk as far today" When we got home, we

had actually walked one minute longer

than yesterday, and we were both amazed since it only seemed like half that time. We're five minutes shy of one hour!

I know this doesn't seem like much since some of you are runners, or joggers, but this is HUGE for me. It wasn't

that long ago that I was in the rehab for over a month

not having been able to walk at all!

YAYAYAY!!!

What an afternoon, and rambling...

Oh come on!

You know that's funny.
Anyway.

Not long ago, Patti and I hid something here in the house. And, now neither one of us can remember where! It's drivin' me

nuts, completely n.u.t.z.

This afternoon, thinking I might have placed it in my mom's cedar chest, I took

everything out and oh boy, did that take me down memory lane. I found things I'd forgotten were in there. Like, my mom's evening purses she used in her heyday. Beautiful. One is gold mesh, another is white with beads and pearls.

I also found birth certificates, report cards, dance costumes, baby shoes, and the first dress of mine that mama made for me. I think I've shown that on my blog before. But, once again I noticed on my oldest brother's birth certificate where it read that she'd had NO other children before him. Patti was sittin' outside, and I went out there showing her, and saying "It just blows my mind that she forgot to mention to the dr that she had a daughter!" Patti always laughs when I bring it up, and will say "maybe you were adopted." LOL

NO! I have her eyes and her teeth.

However, what we hid was another of Mama's evening purses that has rare coins that she'd saved, and also Ben's cross that his dad had given to Britt and put it around her neck the day of his funeral. At some point, the chain broke and Patti brought it over here which we have now LOST!

I know eventually we'll find it, but have you ever hidden something so well that you hid it from your own self?
