I know. I KNOW!!

Some grand/great-children live hundreds of miles away,

and mine live an hour away, doesn't mean I can't

miss them, does it?  :)

It's been two weeks and I'm going through withdrawals

tonight !  And, while I'm SO happy that Britt is doing

much better & can be on her own more, I kinda miss

hearing from her:

"Memaw, will you get me a drink?"

"Memaw, what's for dinner?"

"Memaw?  Where are you? I need you !"

To which I'd sometimes reply
"SURE, I WAS BORN TO SERVE !"

And, then we'd all laugh like loonies!

And, then of course I miss the little scamp !

I miss playing cards, dolls, mom and kid (I'm always the kid !")

And, I miss hearing her:

"Memaw, can we go to the park?"

"Can we go to the pool?"

"Do I look cute?"

Ha, love that one !

So, I'll just sit here and play computer solitaire!

My cup runneth over.....

Through my years of blogging,

I've met some incredible friends.

I've been humbled by the kindness of so many;

you've lent shoulders to cry on,

lifted me up with sweet words. 

I've received lovely gifts in the mail,

including flowers (you know who you are).

Each have been appreciated more than

you can begin to imagine.

Some have even laughed at my corny jokes;

yes, I know I'm a cornball at times.

I wasn't born blonde for no reason!

Yesterday, as I worked in the yard, someone

was laboring behind the scenes on my behalf!

Since I'm computer illiterate, My sweet friend KAREN

of This Old House Too, you would love her blog by the way,

graciously redesigned my blog!

I LOVE IT!

Thank you Karen, and all of you who have stuck with me

here in blog land.  I treasure our friendships!

Over 116 designers for Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week and Lakme Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2011 catwalks are officially over. After careful observation from the front row, we give you the outfits that made for runway gold.

From Amit Aggarwal’s extended silhouettes to Aneeth Arora’s wearable hippie luxe outfits, the runways were rampant with trends that could compete on international standards. While prints of various kinds won hands down in the battle of the trends, other sartorial stars were the return of the white on white and colour blocking.

Fur neck collars kind of creep me out. But this guy had one that was a shield from the windy and cold Parisian day.  It looked like it still belonged on an animal it looked so real.

Doesn't it? If Sometimes all you need to do to look glamourous is put some shades on and put on a smile.  Cat eye sunglasses seem to making a comeback - my friend twetted me one she found on E-Bay, which is in my opinion the best place to find vintage sunglasses at bargin prices.

There is no denying that this year is the year of color. Bright green is the new black. Take a note from these stylish ladies during Paris Fashion Week. The eponymous Celine clutch was everywhere, in bright orange, bright blue and here in bright green.

Thanks to all who wished me a Happy Birthday, yesterday!

I had a beautiful day and evening!

Hunter was with me most of the day which made

it even more special.  I have to tell you what she

said:  She was in the tub watching me fix my hair.

I'm letting it grow out, and it's buggin' me something fierce.

So, I put a barrette on one side, looked at her and

asked: "Do I look stupid?" 

She took a moment, squinched up her nose, then said:

"What the heck, it's your birthday!"

My brother and sis-in-law made me a cake and,

 took me to Longhorns, YUM!!

And, they gave me something I've been needing and

wanting for a long time:

I was seriously super excited, and turned on the jukebox, danced around the kitchen!

We laughed so hard!
