The other day after finishing what I could do in the yard,
I went in the garage, turned on the overhead light forgetting
that the bulbs were burned out. I pressed the lever for the
garage door and walked halfway back to the the middle for
something I forgot. The garage door went down, and I was
stuck there in the total darkness. Then, I got turned around
and was bumping into everything. Patti was at the back of
the house and couldn't hear me hollering at her.
Eventually, I made it back, but that got me to thinking; naturally
about people who are blind and how they must feel. But, it also
had me reflecting on how often I get "stuck" on things. When I
go at a job, I don't know when to quit. I keep at it until I'm plum wore out.
Of course, at this moment I'm talking about the yard and asking myself
WHY do I think I have to finish what I start in one dadgum day?
I mean, who really cares but me? Oh, I've had plenty of advice
from neighbors stopping in the road which I appreciate, but don't
they see that I AM A BUSY WOMAN!
:)
I need to pace myself, I'm not gettin' any younger ya know!
On a sad note, Britt's Papa passed away this weekend. I hope you will give
a thought or prayer for her, her Granny, her dad and uncle,
and her little sisters.
Thank you.
