Now, don't get too excited about what I'm fixin' to tell ya,
'cause this is just a rumor.
But, the rumor is you might be going to live with your
owner, and I know you'll really like that.
(And, so will I, but I didn't say that out loud).
It's not that I won't miss you, buddy! I will in my own way.
Like the times you got out of the yard, and I had to chase you
around the neighborhood in my pajama's and hearing the
neighbor's say "there she goes again".
Or, before I fixed the backyard fence, and every time
you went out there, that little cheewawa, Joey, would
attack me. Remember when he bit me in the
butt, and I yelled "You little (fill in the blank).
Yeah, those were some good times.
Now, if the rumor is true (and I hope it is) you'll

My baby brother....
He's not supposed to be all grown up.
He's supposed to be that baby I rocked every night.
He's supposed to be the toddler we pulled around in the red wagon
He's supposed to be the little boy who loved to go with me to fly kites.
He's supposed to be the kid who rode on the handle bars of my bike.
He's supposed to be the brat I took to the drive-in movies every Friday night.
He's supposed to be the teenager who went to church with me even when his friends didn't.
Yet, he is now who he is supposed to be.
A wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Today, he is 58 years old, and
I couldn't be prouder of him.
I couldn't be prouder of him.
But, as I told him today when I dropped
off his birthday coconut cream pie,
"You're still my baby brother".

After one of my grandson's motocross races in 2007, we decided to stop in a little town at Micky D’s for a bathroom break. She left the restroom first to get a drink, and later I found her at the counter. P: Mom, what took you so long?
Me: I was stuck in the stall.

Me: I couldn’t unlock the door to get out!
