Now, don't get too excited about what I'm fixin' to tell ya,
'cause this is just a rumor.
But, the rumor is you might be going to live with your
owner, and I know you'll really like that.
(And, so will I, but I didn't say that out loud).
It's not that I won't miss you, buddy! I will in my own way.
Like the times you got out of the yard, and I had to chase you
around the neighborhood in my pajama's and hearing the
neighbor's say "there she goes again".
Or, before I fixed the backyard fence, and every time
you went out there, that little cheewawa, Joey, would
attack me. Remember when he bit me in the
butt, and I yelled "You little (fill in the blank).
Yeah, those were some good times.
Now, if the rumor is true (and I hope it is) you'll
be going to a happy place!
